Cookie banners, gone before you see them

PopupVanish quietly dismisses cookie notices, newsletter pop-ups and “subscribe now” overlays the moment a page loads — so you land on the content, not on a consent form.

How it works

Almost every site now greets you with a wall: a consent banner, a newsletter box, a “continue reading” nag. Clicking through them dozens of times a day is not a choice — it's a tax on your attention.

It watches the page load

As soon as a page renders, PopupVanish scans it for the patterns overlays share — fixed position, backdrop layer, consent wording, known banner containers.

It closes them for you

Matching overlays are dismissed and the page is unlocked — scrolling restored, background un-dimmed. Usually before you have finished reading the headline.

Nothing leaves your browser

All of it runs locally on your machine. No account, no cloud, no browsing history sent anywhere — because there is no server on the other end at all.

Why people use it

Small friction, repeated a hundred times a day, adds up.

Fewer clicks, every single day

The average person dismisses dozens of banners daily. PopupVanish takes that number to roughly zero without you thinking about it.

Pages you can actually read

No dimmed backgrounds, no frozen scroll, no overlay covering the paragraph you were halfway through.

Privacy by design, not by promise

The extension has no analytics and no remote calls. Your browsing stays on your device because it never had anywhere else to go.

Light enough to forget about

A few kilobytes of matching logic per page. No background tracking, no memory creep, no slowdown you can feel.

Get started in seconds

There is nothing to configure and no account to create.

1

Add it to Chrome

Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click “Add to Chrome”. The install takes one click.

2

Keep browsing

No setup screen, no onboarding. PopupVanish starts working on the very next page you open.

3

Pause any time

Need a banner to load — say, to change your consent choices? Click the icon and turn it off for that site.

Questions, answered

Does PopupVanish collect any data about me?

No. It has no accounts, no analytics and no server. Everything happens inside your browser, on your device, and nothing about the pages you visit is transmitted anywhere.

Does dismissing a banner mean I've consented to cookies?

No. Closing an overlay is not the same as accepting it. PopupVanish removes the banner from view; it does not click “Accept all” on your behalf. If you want to review a site's consent settings, pause the extension for that site and reload the page.

Will it break websites?

It only acts on elements that match overlay patterns, and it restores scrolling that banners disable. If something looks wrong on a particular site, turn the extension off for that domain in one click and let us know at [email protected].

Is it really free?

Yes. No paid tier, no trial, no ads inside the extension.

Does it work in Incognito?

Yes, once you enable it for Incognito in Chrome's extension settings. Chrome keeps that permission off by default for every extension.
